Anyone here using Proton Mail?

I’m curious what you like and don’t like about it. My current email inboxes are trashed, and I’d kinda like a fresh start. Worth $5 a month?

I recently opened an account to check it out. There’s a free tier if you want to give it a spin.

Im trying Mailfence right now but I can’t get the android app to give me notifications

I have used the free version of Proton Mail. I have been very happy with it.

I’ve used the free version of Proton Mail for at least 10 years as one of my alternate email addresses. I also setup free Proton Mail accounts for my children when they were born, which they have only recently begun to use.

I haven’t been a heavy enough user to feel the need to upgrade to the paid version, and I haven’t ever tried the mobile app for it.

The main reason why I haven’t upgrade Proton Mail is because I have an even older alt email account with Startmail, which is a paid version. If I ever get rid of that one, I’d migrate it to the Proton Mail account.

Yes and I’m very happy to use the free service since 2016.

iOS app works well

I’ve used it for years. I’m about to migrate my wife over. It’s easy to keep your old email as a junk address and just start fresh. I use their VPN and AI, too. They don’t sell your info and are overseas (from me at least- they are in Switz.)

I’ve been using it for many years with my custom domain, and it is my main email. I also use the other services and apps that they provide.

It is worth the money if you value privacy and an ad-free experience.
