Back sliding or becoming more discerning?

I’ve noticed that when I go back to play song I’ve previously learned I feel like I’m not playing them as well as I used to.

I think it is that I’m becoming more discerning, since I’m noticing things like my timing is off, or too much fret buzz, and when I first learned the songs, I was happy that I could recognize them, and glossed over the imperfections. But I’m also slower, so maybe a bit rusty?

Anyone, have anything like this happen to them?

It’s a rare phenomenon that only happens no more than once a day, try it again tomorrow, :joy:
