Bass being played by non-bass player in band

Easier for a guitarist to play bass than a bassist to play guitar. Guitarists use picks on bass a lot too.

Pretty sure the band Iā€™m in thinks bass is being played by the non-bass player. Stopping rehearsal, to show one of the guitar players the correct way to to play the song on guitar (really I just want to play his PRS) or to tweak the other guitaristā€™s amp because it sounds like a transistor radio, or to show the drummer where the hi-hat accent comes on the and of 2ā€¦things like this are not helping my case.
