That’s the same reason why I listen to Simon Phillips and Dave Weckl. Every instruments on any songs are way outside my ability but the drum parts do offer a great mathematical riddle.

Ernie Ball really punch above their weight on their $3000 price range give and take a few hundreds. Their instrument looks refine and well made. Their BFR line up is like custom made from a small shops. Compares to Mayones, Spector USA, Sadowsky, Maruszczyk, etc.

agree - my BFR is the best made bass I own by a long shot
got mine used for $1600, even bigger bargain
