Thanks, Mike
If you don’t need a G string, you can tune a bass in BEAD and get a B string on a four string
I cannot think of a single time in my life where I have needed a G-string.
Aw, c’mon. Now you’re just being modest.
You ever see or play one of these?
https://lowendbassshop.com/product/fender-usa-hm-5-string-34-scale/
And did I ask this already?
Super nice.
I like when Fender goes outside their comfort zone and tries something different.
Sometimes.
But yeah, that looks cool, just needs to lose a string, but it is really easy on the eyes.
Never played one.
Seen one now.
Edit: thats a hefty price tag.
I suppose it is a Fender custom shop tho.
But 3 single coils strat style pick ups(sort of, no slant pick up,)? Hmmm could be great. Could be horrid.
Fender single coils too.
Probably make sure it is a standard single coil cavity or fits the pick ups you would replace them with.
But a set of 3 single coils? Can you get a neck middle and bridge set?
Can you just use a 2nd bridge pick up, or a single single coil in the middle of a neck and bridge set??
Idk, but things to consider.
Idk, just things to consider.
Looks like somebody’s custom dream that maybe was not as great as they thought it would be, so they traded it in???
Or did they actually do a run of these for a time??
Again, IDK, I am asking, and pointing out things to consider.
This is basically like my Lakland 55-02 where the bridge is two single coils you can voice either or both (humbucker). Maybe just fenders’s way of doing this. Not sure what the options are for the switch.
It’s a thing.
Heartfield Model.
No but 5 inline tuners? How are they going to keep in tunes. I like the triple jazz layout. This is one funky bass. Looks like a prequel to FSR.
Ibanez JCSR2021 5-String Electric Bass Guitar I’ll never own one, the price is insane. I will however forever covet it!
Looks a lot like that youtube guy that makes the river tables
That was my first thought. Though the more I look at it the more I like it.
I will never get good enough to justify such an expense (~1500€), but boys and girls, the Ibanez SR2605-CBB:
Just… wow.
If I ever decide to upgrade my trbx604, an SR Premium is a very likely candidate. I’ve wanted an SR2400APL for a long time.
Price is reasonable for what you get, and just gorgeous. Unfortunately they almost never turn up used.
There is a red hot chili peppers song that once I can play it note for note perfectly I will reward my self with the four string version of this bass.
A totally unreasonable goal would be perfect for me, so that I can dream forever and ever! What song is it?
Added it to my reverb watch list. one will pop up eventually.
By the Way
Ok, I will die trying!
The higher end stuff from Ibanez is insane. So nice. It’s like something aliens would design, but like cool aliens, from Avatar. I can see them playing these.
