The Tele headstock just looks so much better to me than the normal Fender headstock
a crazy one

Nice. Cool build write up too.
@terb I was reading about the build and followed some of the links that were posted and ended up here⌠Pricing & Options â Mike Lull Custom Guitars.
On that site there is an option to add on an âActive Tone Circuitâ for $450. Is this $450 for custom active electronics? Iâm guessing this would allow you to specify the frequencies you want the cut/boost to affect. Is their some other magic to this that justifies the price tag or is the price because itâs hand built, custom work?
maybe, donât know really. itâs hard to justify such a price tag, even with a custom frequency.
Thatâs more than double the cost of a Darkglass tone capsule, and triple an Aguilar preamp.
Thatâs what I was thinking too. He even has the Aguilar preamp listed as an option for $160.
Even with a bypass switch and a parametric mid control, that would be expensive.
Having Ida demo this is cheating but wow, nice bass. Some nice features in the electronics.
Somebody on this site just got one of those IIRC
Itâs beautiful. Totally one of my two favorite styles. Neck thru with natural finishes, or ones you can see the grain, and Orange colored Basses.
Impressive features as you said.
I know I am going against the grain here but it amazes me how much better Fender style basses look to me with a smaller, matching headstock.

Nice @howard,
It works out to about $936.00 aud
Cheers
@howard
They look 100% better for sure
Yeah Bacchus are inexpensive here and good quality, one of many domestic boutique brands making high quality Fender clones.
ooooh
How about PRS basses with the âBird Inlaysâ I think these look really cool

Yes! I always had a weak spot for reflecting custom inlays!
Even just stripes in the material you posted but custom shapes make it even better.
i donât know why more companies donât do cool inlays. music man made a series of basses in dargie green that became fan faves that had martini glass shaped ones
