Well it hasn’t shipped yet, but it’s late Monday afternoon and they haven’t told me it’s sold out, so I take that as hopeful

I saw they have the Mighty back in stock, tempting

It is. And in green too.

It has shipped btw. At least the label has been created

Ha. That was fast. Now you have two. Or will by the end of the week anyway

Maybe Lobster can improve this one too

OK, this is really slick

Electronics porn.
Some guy figured out how to standardize plug-n-play for a variety of bass preamps and wired each of them into a plug-in module.

I have a fanned fret bass (Specter Dimension) and, surprisingly, there was zero transition. Was able to play it instantly and, frankly, I find it much more comfortable to play due to the ergonomics. Don’t have to bend my wrist as much at the upper and lower frets.

If you see one at a guitar store, give it a try. They’re quite nice.

I have to assume the true temperament ones would be similar in terms of learning curve but I just don’t like the look of them. I do love the twisted neck optical illusion that the fanned frets create.

Fanned frets have a shallow learning curve in my experience, though I don’t own one at present

Spoke too soon, they created the label, two days later, Fedex hasn’t received it. May not see it this week, not pleased

Even Geddy isn’t sure!

To be fair, he wrote a book about them and then charged us a hefty price to see part of his collection.
He got us to pay for his GAS, smart man!

So I asked, simple problem. They gave me an incorrect tracking number. So it wasn’t updating, but it was correct enough that Fedex recognized it. The bass is in transit, sitting in customs at the moment.

Good news @Wombat-metal

If I had seen this one first @ $530 might have been a different story. No regrets, love my creamsicle bass

The Bacchus World Series stuff is made in Indonesia if that’s important to anyone. It’s up a big price hike for the made in Japan stuff. I need to stop looking at their website :flushed:

You are correct, I missed that, zoomed in on the SN and it doesn’t say Japan

Yeah it’s on the back of the head stock you can just make it out.

This is from the same seller as the Bacchus WL4 above. They only want $9500, quite a bargain I would say.
