But mine doesn’t need a mini toggle to switch from active to passive like the Slogan model does. Also, the Tone control on mine works in passive and active.
Personally I prefer passive basses and do my tone shaping after. The active basses I owned all had bass/treble controls, but never had one for mids (which kinda makes more sense to me).
Not sure. Came with his bass in ‘88. The font looks familiar and makes me wonder if it is a predecessor to a Fat Finger? Tone plate and eliminated the Fender dead spot? It was a studio bass for a decade prior to him getting it he said.
Edit: Apparently they were made by Groove Tubes and there were many models for both bass and guitar. All of the above. Tone. Sustain. Dead spot fix.
I spent about an hour watching that 17 minutes video. For an obvious reason with the recent events it was calming me down and I started noticing a few details like tool-free back covers and the kick a$$ 2 piece finger ramp.
Keeping my mind busy and focus on something else, I started the parameters of the next build. Some kind of a solid maybe chambered body UBass. I want to go nuts in this one, lol.
Well, that’s also cool, but they are showing off the cool CNC tricks I kinda want to exploit that because the crazy it was the more view and usually that benefits me. I paid about half price on this bass because they made the revenue from YouTube and just said Hit Me.
Thinking
Tiny Boy bass scale so I can use 'em Italian strings.
P like this one or MM or the big Xtender Quad coil.
Some crazy preamp and knobs, lol.
Well thank the Lord I am out of bass acquisition cash! This just popped up on Yahoo Auction. Somebody here needs to pick this up… shipping will be terrible but worth the cost as these are rare as f.
