Decent looking used Woodline for about 400euro:
It’s a global though, not Handmade.
That’s a very intriguing bass. I do wonder how it will old up over the years, as it seems kinda…flimsy? More like an exquisite violin and not a low end beast of destruction. The sound is great though.
Ha, yes, maybe not for punk or death metal
It’s a fantastic design though. I love when people do some out of the box stuff.
This guy is such a crazy Polysics fan he has reliced his bass the same way Fumi has thrashed hers. And is selling cosplay goods with it

no it’s not me
rofl and it already sold. Up less than 12h.
Now you can afford some tofu donuts
I swear it wasn’t me
I mean I am a fan but not like that
sure. I believe you.
Three bits of news:
That’s a good color (and a nice gradient).
I do still ike my Revstar finish more though. Racing stripes are important.
Anyway, I keep finding pics of the new Moonlight Blue BB that look incredible. It’s probably available there in the US by now @JerryP.
I have very specific goals
I acquired a lot of clarity while reflecting on what I liked and disliked about my current situation. Selling the Fenders helped a lot.
I haven’t seen it yet on any of the American websites, but my girlfriend found it in stock near Osaka. We will be spending a few days there before going onto Yokosuka.
If IRRC, the BB series does string through body but at a 45 degree angle so it’s a less acute angle and probably less tension. Seems a good design
Yep, bridge has an option for thru-body or on the bridge, depending on the tone you want, and even the lower end models support this. And yes the diagonal thru-body is set at about 45%:
Cool. There’s also an Ikebe down there, and it’s listed as in stock in their Osaka store.
Can also switch it to English (depends on your girlfriend’s preference there).
And as always, happy to meet up if you want to come up in to Tokyo
Sorry for potentially derailing this thread, but I am curious about whether you have any more evidence to share about the difference in tone (thru-body vs. bridge)? There is an old (and short) thread started by @terb, but the video link in the first post in this thread is no longer working/active; yet, the consensus there was apparently that it doesn’t make a difference tone-wise (on bass).
On the other hand, it is supposed to be a bit more stressful on the strings when strung thru-body…
nope! No real opinion either.
Ah, OK, thanks! I guess I mis-interpreted your statement (it’s getting late here ).
All you ever did (and didn’t) want to know.
