Well, it ships from the Netherlands, so there might even be additional taxes to import it to the US
Yeah, I saw that. Look at its condition too, beautiful.
The good news is, it has already dropped from $9,779.54 to $7,946.87. Iām going to keep an eye on it and when it drops below $500.00, Iāll jump on it.
Awe, a gift for me? How thoughtful.
HA! Iām still awaiting the birthday gift you promised me back in June ![]()
It didnāt go on sale yet.
There are only 60 made of these, so better get ordering now, @T_dub:
I know itās a Bongo and not a Ray, but itās orange-y⦠![]()
but its a 5
and HH
Neither of what I want.
I mean if I am gonna pay big, I am gonna get what I want.
Nag, nag, nagā¦
Itās beautiful, PLUS it has the correct amount of strings!
it is pretty sexy tho.
Lol @PamPurrs
I got my eye on this one for now.
I love the transparent color, and the maple fretboard. wish it had matching headstock like @BigAl 's
Very nice looking bass . I love maple fretboard. Good luck.
I am only thinking about it, I donāt really like buying from GC, even tho they have a good return policy. I just donāt like not seeing the thing first.
If it were local, I would go down and look at it right now.
Nice, but they donāt ship to Australia.
Cheers Brian
This just popped up in my email. Sweetwater is cruel.

I am surprised they use Basswood in that. I guess that is how they get the weight down.
I just love that bongo
Wait I thought Stingrays didnāt do it for you?
If I were getting one it would definitely be a Bongo. Bongos just look extra badass.
I have a real love/hate thing with 'rays. I love their look, love their aggressive tone for a few specific styles of music, but just canāt buy in to the pricing of the EBMMs and literally laugh at the ridiculous price ramp for a vintage one, since thatās the opposite thing I would value in them anyway - I like them specifically because they are a great sounding, more modern bass, and actually value the fact that they arenāt a vintage sound, at all. To me, a vintage 'ray is just⦠old.
That reminds me, anyone ever try a Fleabass?
