Yes, very on the nose.

That’s not so hard to do because there is no Sire U3 model. It had to be a U5.

You’re right !
I’m trying so much to forget how I resisted to GAS (I want to make sure this doesn’t ever happen again) that I even forgot the name of the bass

It’s got one too many strings, but it’s unique and gorgeous. There are superb craftsmen in Maine. :+1:

actually from looking more at those pictures is it just me or does it look like that top control knob looks in the way? it’s really close to the strings.

Personally, the knob placement wouldn’t hinder my playing, but it is in an odd spot, for sure.

The new Sire U7 model. The 34” scale big brother to the U5 shorty. Same shape, but proportionally sporting a larger body and headstock to match the scale.

Crazy low price for this quality: $439 at Thomann. Even with 73 buck shipping to the US, that’s just nuts.

Holy Batman…

Only about 4K or so :joy:

I was just looking at that after getting a Yamaha sale email. It’s crazy that it has a stereo output I don’t really get that part. other than that those are some crazy big fret indicators. My signature would have numbers down the left sidewall of the neck. That way when I space out my 7th fret won’t disappear.

If I had around $8000.00 CDN I would get my hands on a Mayones Comodus 4 Custom.

A) its SEXY AF
B) It has a separate pre-amp setup for practicing w/ internal rechargable power supply, added to that an AUX IN.

All you need to practice, headphones, and yer phone jacked in for tunes… and go!

I wish more brands would do this!

Super hard to chase this down in Canada, the manufacturer is based in Poland.

Looks like a cool bass tho.

And yes… my GAS is acting up again now.

   :metal:

I’m thoroughly familiar with Mayones basses. I own two, with my second being a unique custom I had built to my specs. The headphone/AUD IN-equipped preamp is really cool; I love mine.

If you ever want to know more about how to get one, shoot me a private message.

I may do some poking around to see what I can find in Canada … I appreciate the offer of assistance

There are some new lumber import regulations in Canada now that makes a LOT of musical instruments off limits here… based on the type of wood they are made from, and/or where it came from…

Its stupid honestly.

I may follow up though if I ever win the lotto!

Thanks!
