Yeah it’s just cool, an unusual combination of features.
It’s adorable they are selling these as a matched pair.

Unfortunately, I don’t want a SBV-500 because J/J (as I keep trying to tell myself), and while the SGV-700 is one of the best of the SGV’s I don’t really like the SGV sound so much, they are very very surf rock oriented.
On the other hand, if you want a surf guitar that isn’t a Telecaster, they are tough to beat.
Looks like the whole thing is dipped in aspic… ![]()
I blame @howard - I mean, it’s easier to blame someone else than myself, right? ![]()
That is one seriously hot mama, right there. ![]()
Haha, could be - had a light dinner today ![]()
Methinks you might be feeling a tad giddy right about now, for some reason. ![]()
That is gorgeous, congrats!
I really dig this one, that’s a great body shape.
Along with the Lark Tongues?
Maybe only part IV ![]()
Yep… but one string too many for you ![]()
Oh, definitely!
But the body top wood treatment is unique to a beast this big. It’s pretty common on a Cala, though. ![]()
If I were ever tempted to get a fiver, it would be this one:
Premium at a decidedly non-premium price point. ![]()
Interesting choice!
I can’t quite picture Marcus playing one of these though ![]()
He said in an interview that he plays non-Jazz Sire models at home, when he plays lines by other artists. Humbuckers are not his signature sound. ![]()
Ooohh, that’s a puzzling one!
