There we go. That is totally my jam, even with the extra string.

Love this body shape… not so fond of the way the headstocks look on these though.

All 5 of them. Yes please. I even like the knobs!

There is always something… isn’t there??

Thankfully so in this case, lest my bank account end up several pounds lighter.

Seriously though, whenever I see this:

My mind immediately goes to these necks with uncut headstocks.

Can’t unsee it. I’m sure there’s a quite good reason for why they are the way they are which only becomes apparent after years of luthiery training and practice, but if I were so inclined to shell out whatever these are rightfully fetching, I’d still look at it everyday and kick myself.

To me, the headstock works fine in black, with logo and lollipop machine heads.

One can pretty much never go wrong with matching headstocks - it looks like it belongs, not like an unfinished rush job

I agree that a matching headstock presents a very cohesive design.

In this particular case, the matching headstock, along with the white script luthier logo that matches the pickguard white border, creates a really complementary set of design features.

Spector Rex Brown signature model

Single cut is not my jam but it is a looker for sure.

If this Wittman LYRE double neck (top fretless, bottom fretted) was a short scale and not a medium scale, I might give in to some major GAS and pay the 3 100 € + 300 € (shipping) + 30% import duty (most likely). The luthier only sells through Reverb. Shame.

Stacked volume/tone for each neck, 3-way switch (fretless, both, fretted), and stereo out (one for each neck).

as a new convert to spector love, it is surprising to me that some of the most coveted (and mega expensive) models are actually this shape. it’s cool, but every time i look at it i get weird paul stanley vibes.

Very nice. Love that pickguard.

She’s a beaut, Clark.

That’s a beautiful bass IMHO, and a great price for what you get. I do wonder about the tuners being exposed like that, but I think I could live with that concern.

She is, I doubt I’ll buy one though. The only hole it fills that I don’t’ have covered is being headless and multiscale. I’m curious about both but sound wise I’ve already got my G&L for that humbucker sound. It is an awesome looking bass though.

It’s going on my list. Fills the everything else I don’t have covered. HH, MS, and I’d probably grab the 5 to cover everything. Gotta spend more time with the BB before going donkers on a third bass.

The Sire M6 is outstanding.

But if I were to go for another besides those I own, for my prefs, I’d go with a Sire F-10, despite its being a 5-string. :joy:

The M6 is beautiful and is tempting, especially in that black. If I do end up buying another bass, it’ll probably be something like this. I’ll just keep an eye out once they come out and see how they do. Maybe next year when you can find one in stock somewhere but I’m not in a rush. Definitely the 4 string though. My VI is the only bass I have any interest in with more than 4 strings.

If you want one quicker than in-stock-USA, check out thomannmusic.com. They have Sires sooner and cheaper than US stores, even including shipping and duty fee. Trust me, I’ve done it twice. :+1:
