I’m not getting his 1/2" thickness claim, unless he’s referring to the treble edge only. It’s visually thicker throughout various points on the body.

It looks like cut out from my mum’s old kitchen table, with half a doily still on there.
It’s not ugly… just too bland for me! (Can’t have a bland bass on a bland guy, if you know what I mean

I’m a visual designer. I find the minimalism of this design appealing.
Personally, it’s not my bag, but I think its retro, yet uniquely hip, styling is cool looking in a Tarantino-revised-history kind of way.
And, for the record, I think you would look mah-velous sporting one of these on stage.

Not the HF models anymore, as far as I know (and have heard/been told). I am really not sure why…

I think the signature models are all fivers, probably because the artists play fivers. My Mala 4 was offered as a limited edition 4-string. Same with your Ferauds. Once those limited runs happened, that was it. This was why I had my custom built to my specs, with making it a 4-string being the most critical spec. Of course, that one spec rippled through all others, most importantly being the need for them to create custom Velvetrone pups.
