Would love to “complete” the collection but I have zero need for this, esp if overpriced. How much they asking?
¥190k
Yep. Alembic is absolutely top-tier, and they are always made of premium woods.
It’s a shame that they ran out of money to put the rest of the necessary pieces on it.
It’s a photo of a Bass in production…
I like this one - beautiful !
@Bassic I was at the Alembic workshop in Santa Rosa (I think it was actually located in Rohnert Park), and their selections of exotic woods was truly impressive! My Spoiler was made from Koa. They said, at least at that time, they had only made two Spoilers out of Koa.
i like the shape but not sure about the knob placement. (that’s what she said?)
This puppy is about six grand, so to shell out that much dough, you’d pretty well need to love the knob placement.
I mean you could always just go with their Amrita Woodworm, much simpler knobs.
And, like, double the cost? So much want, though.
I love that pickguard so much
These Italians have serious style.
It’s like Jens Ritter got drunk in the Alembic factory one night, and nine months later…
Well this is tempting.
SBV-550 in the rare color @terb and I both want, getting down towards a reasonable price (about 600 euros right now). One owner for 19 years. I could trade out my red one for it.
If they will come down a bit more I might go for it.
