I was born in SanBernardino Calif, adopted at 2 months old. We lived there for 2 yrs then moved to GA where my (adopted) Mom was from and I’ve been here since 66, however when I was 40 I decided to find my (birth) lady, mom in no sense of the word. I found her and after a few months of phone conversations went back to Cali and met her and 1 of my sisters and a few relatives, long story short it all went south very quickly and we haven’t talked since, which is absolutely fine, was my decision. But anyway being from GA and going to Cali I was a fish out of water, couldn’t wait to get back home. My apologies, this has gone way off topic
Let’s get it on topic: start travelling the world and visit your favourite luthiers … then you can post cool bass pictures that you made yourself here ![]()
nothing wrong with that. I’m a West Coast kid but my parents were Okies and I’ve spent lots of time there and Texas. I spent 6 months of quality time stationed in the armpit of the Carolinas getting up close and personal with the local flora, dirt, and some of the less zesty of the ladies (it being Fayetteville - ask any Carolinan). The world being an amazing place also applies to the US, which is incredibly different the more of it you see and appreciate.
That’s just how we roll.
Were you stationed at Bragg?
i spent a couple of years in Fayettenam at Bragg.
what years?
I was there 07 - 09 at a joint command (I was Navy).
JSOC?
Yep, I was just IT guy though.
right on, I was there 08-14.
Marusaya only had a Dremel to create that body. I know that problem all too well ![]()
Wow dude, you’ve been all kinds of places! I’ve only been to Mexico, lol.
Here’s a place where travel posts can live.
I was invited to join Alfredo Hernández (ex-drummer of Queens of the Stone Age) to visit his family in Mexico, when I got to know him a few years ago, while doing a road trip through California
Here is the whole story:
I still feel stupid (!!!) to have missed out that opportunity. He would take us there next time we visit, but I’m not really sure that we will ever get back to the USA…
Yup, early '90s for a few months, for AIT.
Minus the pickup guard, yes please!
