I just need to order the new white strap for it now. They dressed the frets (neck feels fantastic) and put a set of opti web .009 - .042’s on for me because I’d mentioned that I like Elixirs.

How are the pickups? Strong and rich like a P90, or spaghetti western twangly like a Jazzmaster?
6-bolt joins are awesome.
I’m spoiled. By BB has their angled 6 bolt join, so it’s super tight, and my SBV have 4-bolt but with a really deep and tight neck pocket that might be even better.
I’m not sure yet. I’m not going to let it sit for 24 hrs or anything weird but it’s cold today so I’m letting it get up to room temp before I mess with it. It should be able to do both of those with the seperate tone knobs (bass and treble each have their own).

I’d bet it’s a Chinese bass.
I’m not sure what to make of the signature below the tone knob. “IAN 2021”. It seems wildly out of place on a bass that looks many decades old.

Vincent Van Trigt has built the only bass of the bunch: the Peacock Precision Bass, which is seen as a spiritual sequel to the Flamingo Telecaster he created for last year’s Prestige Collection. Once again, Van Trigt worked with aviary enthusiast Ian Ward for the build, which features Ward’s artwork and inlays, Josefina Campos hand-wound pickups and custom mounted rings.
There’s also a reversed headstock, which is a nod to the late ZZ Top bassist, Dusty Hill.
It’s available for $22,500.
