Bass Porn

Yeah, I agree. It detracts fromthe overall looks of the Bass.

Oooh pickle bass…. But yeah I agree the control plate is not delicious looking. Actually I’d pick a different color pick guard too. But for some reason I love the green wood.

Maker unknown. Google lens gives conflicting results. I like the finish.

it’s funny we have both the offbeat and the reverend basses just above because if i was ever to stray from my beloved (music man and spector, it’s a menage situation) it would be with one of those. or both of those.

I ignore tremolos on basses.

But I like the body shape and carving, pickguard and finish. Really beautiful work.

Digging the yellow. I like it better than the green. Interested in more info about those pickups. I was saddened to learn that the MFD pickups may be a thing of the past based on the two sting @Wombat-metal had posted last week.

Borealis in the desert, I like it.

In person, its more of a mustard yellow. My Revstar is more neon. I’ve got a brand new G&L 6 string coming (the UPS guy is about 5 min out) with those sweet, sweet MFDs.

I’ve got a ‘59 Sprucetop in a similar color. Congrtats on the G&L!

Yeah if anything that pic is toning it down. In person that color is more loud and bright.

You can’t even see the stripes in that pic.

Also,

I wish the metallic flecks in the pain on this one showed better.
