Thanks Joe! Very helpful.

I have all these entered in the original post. After reading through the stuff Josh posts with his videos on BassBuzz I think listing the Lesson # is getting more granular than needed. I’m going to take that out and clean up the OP.

Great stuff, guys!!!

OK, @eric.kiser . . . got it.

Glad I could help out, and I’ll continue to see what other links I can apply to this post and add them as I go.

Once again this is a great idea . . . nice to a have a central thread to link lessons and videos together :wink:

Cheers, Joe

Yeah. I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile. The COVID-19 advisement’s just gave me the extra time to do it.

@JoshFossgreen Let me know if there is anything you don’t want on here. For instance, there is a link to some of your old slap videos.

Thanks for putting this together @eric.kiser! Looks good. There are a couple “BassBazz” entries that you may want to correct to “BassBuzz,” unless I have a mispelled doppelganger out there. :stuck_out_tongue:

Here’s the forum link for the Fretboard Notes vid - Learn Your Bass Fretboard Notes (Easy Starter Method)

I don’t mind links to my older videos! I like that you distinguished as “older josh vids” so people don’t click expecting my current production value and then find some punk 21 year old with a webcam and a bad hair cut. :PPPPP

That punk 21 year old rocked it though with those videos, I like your vintage stuff! It’s neat seeing your evolution too as both a bass player and a teacher. Those old vids are like your first album releases, a little raw, but pure.

Punk 21 Josh is worth seeking out just for the Don’t Stop Believin’ party trick

Oh man. Thanks for catching that. Fixed. And thanks for the Fretboard link. Not sure why I couldn’t find it.

@Jazzbass19 Got it. Thank you.

Okay. I think I have everything I originally intended to include and I’ll keep updating whenever new stuff comes out.

I did not include the bass and amplifier reviews and I didn’t scour Josh’s old YouTube videos looking for stuff to include.

If I missed anything from the BassBuzz YouTube channel or if anyone has an older Josh video they think should be included, please let me know.

Also, if anyone finds any broken links, spelling errors, or has any formatting suggestions to make it look more consistent, let me know about that too.

Updated to include Josh’s new popping video.

Also, after going through the course again, I’ve moved some things around in the early lessons. This was only in places where Josh was more general about what module the video would go with.

@JoshFossgreen Thanks for the Pin!

I was still trying to figure out how to keep letting new people know about this. Let me know if there’s anything you think I should change or add.

Looks good to me @eric.kiser, thanks again for doing this!

Hello everyone! I just downloaded the course and haven’t began yet. Do you recommend following the course, by design, or this thread’s itinerary my first time through?

5 Likes

The course. This thread is additional videos to supplement the course, but you should follow the course and watch these when you get to the lessons they are related to.

Welcome @wgeorge29! Visit us on the INTRODUCE YOURSELF thread.

Like @howard said, definitely follow the course as created. This is all supplemental material and doesn’t replace anything in the course.
