Black Screen Issue on Fender Rumble Studio 40 Display Need Help

Hi everyone,

I have been encountering an issue with my Fender Rumble Studio 40 bass amplifier. The digital display occasionally goes black during use, making it impossible to navigate through presets or adjust settings. The amplifier itself continues to work, but the black screen remains unresponsive until I restart the amp.

Here’s what I have tried so far:

  1. Checked the power supply to ensure it is stable and properly connected.
  2. Updated the firmware to the latest version using Fender’s update tool.
  3. Reset the amp to factory settings, but the problem persists.

I use this amp for both practice and gigs, so this issue is becoming a real challenge. Could this be a hardware defect or something related to the firmware?
Has anyone else faced this with the Fender Rumble Studio series or other similar amplifiers?

Any advice or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated!

I had one of these.
The first one i had was riddled with so many problems Fender replaced it and did not ask for the first one back, but they made me destroy it and take pictures (was fun though). Call them, get waranty fix.

If it’s out of warranty, use the Fender Tone app on your phone or tablet to switch presets.

Note that when you first install the Tone app, it defaults to the Mustang guitar presets. Once it connects to the Rumble, it switches to the Studio/Stage presets.
