For the last 5+ years I have been in this weird spot where I am reading more than ever before but I nearly never read books.

I keep meaning to change that but I never do.

Last book I bought was Molly Gebrian’s Learn Faster, Perform Better” but I have not cracked it. Before that it was Oppheimer’s “Discrete Time Signal Processing” - more of a reference. Also some more DSP books and a few refreshers on differential equations. Yes, it’s a real party of page-turners in my kindle

I am not counting the work books on the management trends du jour - I generally only skim those anyway to be able to understand what coworkers are on about.

I’m currently reading House of Leaves. Only about 20% through at the moment.

Loved ‘em both, I don’t have high hopes for the Hail Mary movie. I can’t imagine how they’re going to get a good Rocky… Artemis was interesting, but I didn’t really like any of the characters. Loved the setting though.

Anyone read Red Rising? I DNF at 65% or so. I really wanted to like it but just didn’t.

What I DID like was Sunrise on the Reaping.

I have the John Kennedy Audio book it’s so good when read by the author. Don’t eat or drink hot beverage while reading or listening to this. Love the forklift story “life is hard and it’s harder when you are stupid”

I’m a John Sandford fan, love the spin off Davenport series “Dark Angle”

Another awesome audiobook read by the author is the Phil Collins “Not Dead Yet”

Not Dead Yet Audiobook by Phil Collins

Annapurna is my fifth climbing book read.
The First was The Climb: Tragic Ambitions on Everest, is an account by Russian-Kazakhstani mountaineer Anatoli Boukreev of the 1996 Everest

Stumbled across this by accident. Fabulous book about the history of human cadavers.

The Spinoza Problem by Irvin D. Yalom

It’s a novel but historically accurate and a good recommendation for everyone interesting in psychology.

After reading the biography of Yalom I’ve bought all his books.

I’m halfway through the biography of MF DOOM. It’s a really great look into the tragic life of one of hip-hop’s legends. Definitely worth reading if you’re a fan.

Currently re-reading the “Dresden files” series. Just finishing up number 6, “Blood Rites.” Number 18 just came out so, I need to remember what has happened to prepare to read that book.

I just read We Are Legion (We Are Bob). It was excellent! I recommend this to anyone who’s a fan of science fiction.
