Bridge Alignment

Hi B2B team. I have a quick question. As some of you may have read, my Peavey Fury has a misaligned bridge. Looking from the bridge to the neck, the strings are shifted to the left, and span over one of the pup poles.

I will be replacing the pups with my Steve Harris pups and the strings with my SH flats. Do you think it would be a good idea to realign the bridge? The neck is straight, so it’s a question of moving the bridge down a bit.

My question is: should the E and G strings be equidistant from the edges of the neck, or should I replace the pups, and then realign over the pole pieces?

relaign or possibly get a hipshot that allows for spacing/placement adjustment if it has enough range to fix. This would mean no new holes.
