Broken truss rod in bad deal. What can I do?

I’m in Westchester but can walk to the Bronx (its that close). The Bronx is a mess, sadly (kinda has been for a long time). There are two reasons I go to the Bronx….Yankee Stadium and to drive through it to Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn or New Jersey.

To close off this chapter I’d like to let you know I did take my bass to a luthier. I made the trip to Dave’s World of Fun Stuff in Toronto and this is what happened.

Part 1

And

Part 2

It has been a long while since I went into the city (I pretty much saw Dave and got out, lol) but meeting Dave made the trip worth it. He is a good guy, very helpful and straight to the point.

Thanks to everyone that gave their advice. Especially those that kept nudging me to see a luthier first.

Enjoy the videos and I want to say a big thank you to Dave for his fine work.

Yes it’s horrible… Stay away and just go to Wasaga beach and do whatever people do in the winter in TO… I don’t know, drink, watch hockey or go to the mall?

Everything is crazy expensive too, since BC is actually short for Bring Cash and you have to pay the sunshine tax on everything. :moneybag:

That is so cool that you got to take it to Dave!

I’ve watched a lot of his videos but it’s been awhile. He’s really upped his game with the video production.

I am glad to see he managed to save it for you. Now it has gone from a problem to a bass with a story. :+1:

Awesome
You got a great bass working again, and we got some cool vids to watch and learn from. If the price for this goodness was for you to have to shlep into the Big Shitty, so be it

Great news.
