Excellent description, thanks a lot. With the help of your “user guide” I’ve just managed to add my location using my mobile. :flexed_biceps:

From Saint John, New Brunswick? I really enjoyed that area when I did some work in Halifax, Nova Scotia and got to visit the PEI’s, which are gorgeous.

Yep! Just outside SJ it’s definitely a nice area although I do love Halifax and PEI too

Newfoundland too I went for the first time this year so finally visited all the Maritime provinces

I live in France now, so visiting St. Pierre & Miquelon is on my bucket list. They chose to stay on the euro instead of switching to the Canadian dollar and they’re a French overseas collectivity, so no immigration procedures. Their little local airline that has turboprop service to Halifax and Montréal charters a 737 during the summer for the 5 hour Monday flight from Paris CDG and the Tuesday return. If you want to visit sometime and drive all the way around Newfoundland instead of flying, there’s daily ferry service between Fortune and St. Pierre. It’s the only place in the world where you set your clock/watch forward after traveling west.

Interesting to see I’m not the only one in Thailand. However, Bangkok may as well be a different planet from where I’m at.

If you would like to OP, place me a marker down for Udon Thani International Airport in Udon Thani Thailand as it’s fairly close haha

I think now I’m the furthest North, at least on the map. I marked my location as the centre of Helsinki, but actually I live a little further north than that.

Most certainly, I figured once you pinned this one I would lose my place!

Helsinki is further north than anywhere in the UK other than the Shetland Islands (where I also once lived back in the seventies!). My work took me to Finland quite often doing software training for Nokia back in the day. I went to Helsinki, Espoo, Tampere and Olou over the years. Always loved how friendly but reserved everyone was until they’d had a few drinks when the friendly increased but the reserved tended to disappear! Good times.

How awesome! I love Tampere, it is a wonderful city. Espoo in comparison is rather boring. I used to live in Helsinki, but now we live in a smaller city a little north from there.

It is a pity Nokia made so many bad decisions, like sticking to their old OS instead of switching to Android when almost every other phone company had already done so, and they lost their place in the market. No one wanted Nokia phones anymore. They went from “Connecting People” to “hmmm, where is everybody?

People here are a little quiet and reserved but warm up after a few drinks, that’s true!

I used to start my courses saying they could interrupt and ask questions at any time, but that I knew they wouldn’t. Which caused much laughter. I always had to ask the questions for them! Good job I’d been doing it for a while!

I can’t believe there is no one from the greater Toronto area!

Added my pin! I know one guy in the town over, but it’s funny that I’m in the middle of nowhere concerning other Bassbuzzers.
