I’m heading out for a two month work trip to Hawaii. I’ll be there until the 30th of April. If any BassBuzzers are planning a trip to Hawaii, let me know and we can meet up.

Go to the first post in this thread and swipe, then copy the link.

Paste the link into the address bar in a new tab and press Enter.

Use the ‘+’ button on the map and the hand icon that let’s you drag the map to zoom in to your location.

In the top left of the map window, just under the search bar, click on the hot air balloon/inverted teardrop icon in the center.

The cursor will switch to a cross hair. Use your mouse to place it over your exact location and press Enter.

You can add some text in the text box. I don’t remember how I added a photo. I’ll leave that as an exercise for the user.

Well at least it’s not Alberta. The Oilers managed to lose to a hockey team in Florida. That’s just pure Oilers right there.

That was a team with mathew kachuk (spelling wrong intentionally, fk that dude) and marchand. I dont think its especially controversial to suggest there was some dirty BS going down and they won because NHL refs swallow their whistles in the final. The Oilers also need a goalie. Pickard was our starter (Avs) the year we got 48 points for the year, lost the draft lottery and had to settle for drafting Makar 4th overall.

Don’t get me wrong I never mind seeing Edmonton lose

What can I say, my team is the Sharks. I have to have a sense of humor about the sport to survive.

My other team is the Avs though and TBH they both did better than I expected and also flamed out in a major way when they got knocked out. I kept flipping back to one of their last games and was like “ah, they’ve given up 6 now, cool, cool.”

(family in Denver were Avs superfans and it was infectious)

Edmonton has been my other team since my wife and I were dating 20 years ago (I was also living in North Carolina when Edmonton and Carollina played for the cup). I have both Sweaters in my closet, and used to wear an Oiler jersey to the rink any time they played the Avs in Denver. I’m just glad they’ve only faced off in the post season once, and it wasn’t a particularly competitive series. 100% guarantee I’d have ended up sleeping in the guest room.

Two years in a row. Always had a soft spot for the Oilers. I got to see Gretzky play when he was still with the team, and I got to walk around the downtown grass- and weed-covered city block (across from my favorite sushi restaurant) that was part of his compensation package. Those mid to late '80s teams were amazing.

When I lived in Chicago, I was a big fan of the Blackhawks. That was in the days when the closest they got to the cup was a cup of broth from a soup kitchen. Then I moved to Scottsdale and bought Coyotes season tickets. More of the same. I moved to France and the 'Yotes moved to SLC as the Mammoth with new owners with money and a desire to invest in the team. So now, I’m a Mammoth fan. Tusks up! Stampede the elbows! And drop a mammoth one on Florida.

I tried being a Blackhawks fan as Portland is their feeder team (the Winter Hawks).

But in the end it has very similar problems with being a Sharks fan.
