Hi everyone,
I’m trying to convert a guitar tab into a bass tab. I already tried to convert it by myself, but the result doesn’t sound very close to the original guitar part.
I was wondering if someone could help me figure out the correct bass notes or suggest a better way to convert it.
I’ll include the guitar tab and the bass version I tried to make.

It’s from Stranger Things Have Happened by Foo Fighters.
So, the bottom strings of the guitar are the same on the bass in standard tuning - EADG.
The easiest thing to do by far would be to just play the lowest note you see in the guitar tab as the note to be played on bass.
So, for that first measure you would play the B notes (2nd fret of A string) and finish it on the F# (2nd fret of E string) and go from there.
Get fancy with it if you want, but following the guitar tab here will ensure that you are following the right chord progression.

What are you actually trying to achieve, bit difficult trying to sound like a 6 string lead with lots of harmonics happening from a bass line. So what is it you want to feel from that bass
