Carvin LB75?

First I will say I thoroughly enjoy reading here on BB, the education just from reading is endless. I’m hoping that I can get some education on this Carvin. I bought this earlier this year from a pawn shop, it came with the very well worn gig bag, inside the bag were the factory tuners, they have been swapped for Warwick, I think. Also the head to the truss rod was in the bag🤦‍♂️. I bought it anyway as it plays great after a restring. I have researched it many times and cannot decipher exactly what model it is. I Believe it’s from the mid90’s to early 2000. I have found pics and info that are close to this, none with TWO toggles, it also has the push/pull knob, active/passive, 18 volt. 77042 SN on the fretboard. Any info/education is GREATLY appreciated.

Do you have any knowledge of why this is the only one I can I can find that has 2 toggles. I’ve looked endlessly through Carvin museum and cannot find another with two. Maybe it was added?

Go here:

Send them in the serial number and model. Ask for the build sheet. They’ll send you a PDF copy, and it will have all sorts of cool information on there, as well as any custom requests from when it was made.

…oh, super nice bass by the way.

Your bass has Piezo pickup. If you don’t already know it’s at the saddle where the stings sits on at the bridge. Get a metal spoon and tap on it it should make a some noise when plugging in. It’s in the nutshell, make your bass sounds like an acoustic bass. When you blend them in with the pickup signal could sounds pretty sweet.

Top three would probably be

Vol (check if it’s a pull-up), could also be passive active.

-Blend (two pickup)

tone (passive) if not then it’s the Piezo blend/volume

the Stack knob would be the Bass/ Treble and Mid/ mid sweep

Top switch is either active/passive or Series/ parallel.

Bottom switch most likely be the Piezo control, either on/ off or the 2 different phrases. Cool/ warm
