Hahaha, I have had a few ep’s and the post was a sort of a joke.
It would be something many people here may not know.
Your wiki has enlightened many here…
Hi all just my take on this. I have looked at many bass teachers on you tube and learned snippets from some. By far the best educator in my humble opinion is Mark Smith at Talking Bass. I have done his Chord Tone essentials course, great explanation with no BS. I also have another course of his called Cyborg bassist volume 1, which really is lots of etudes, exercises. I have also done Walking bass Volume 1 and he throws in a quick free course.
In my search I looked at Scott’s Bass Lessons and if you can get past his humour, as to me he talks like everyone watching is a young teenager, there is some good stuff. I also bought, when it was on offer an all access pass to True Fire. ( I also play 6 string guitar). I have followed a course by Arianna Capp which is good for pentatonics.
I come back to where I first started none are better than Mark Smith as his style appeals to me.

I absolutely agree.
I guess it depends on what you’re looking to learn. I view it as a style guide mostly, he has 10-15 minute videos discussing what made them good at what my they did and provides some downloadable content to practice. If you’re looking for something like that he will probably have a sale at some point, I think I bought it for 50% off (which is extremely short money). So for what I paid, it is good.
If you’re looking more for scales, technique , and other fundamental practice beyond B2B, TalkingBass is a good option.
The new “playbass” from Musora(Drumeo) is nice as well.
A bit simple until now (only 5 lessons so far) and unfortunately not many technique / explanations so far. Still only the first week in. I’m enjoying, but maybe too simple after B2B. As an addition to B2B, might be interesting… and do both at the same time.
I can invite someone for a 30 day trial… don’t know if there’s a limit on the invites. Let me know if you want one to try… again… only a few lessons available and they only release 1 per day. Ending on May 4th.
