I recently picked up a used Cordoba Mini II MH- E bass. I couldn’t pass it up for $100. Talk about big sound in a little package. Way beyond my expectations. The seller didn’t have the manual pdf. and I cannot seem to find one on the web. Anyone in the group have a copy they can share?
Manual? The adjustment is pretty straightforward if you can figure out where the battery goes you are in business.
i was really torn between one of these and the fretless acoustic I ended up getting.
I think they are great and I agree, a big sound from a small package.
Yeah it’s not rocket science. I’m just OCD when it comes to gear. I have the manual for all my bass guitars, amps etc
Yeah. I put them all together on “file” app on my phone and the quick guide on my favorite tab on the photo app.
Having as many basses as I do sometimes it’s just the matter of turning the knob and see what happens different brands and models may have different layout.
cool lil u-bass. are we even sure it HAS a manual?
Maybe not. It is pretty basic
Since I bought it used I figured there might be one
How does this compare to the Kala U-Basses? I like the idea of an acoustic-electric mini bass for travel or just chilling on the back deck.
I tried both. I found the Kala Nomad U Bass “rubber” strings to be a little bit funky. Both have a nice full sound. I just didn’t like the feel of the entry level Kala’s. They make models with round wounds, but they’re more expensive. The Cordoba is slightly larger than the Kala and a slight bit louder in acoustic and electric modes. The Cordoba is $249 new and the Kala wanderer with rounds was $269 including a gig bag. I was on the fence until I found the used Cordoba for $100. I couldn’t pass it up. After buying a new gig bag, I was still less than $150 out of pocket.
If you can try them out I would. They are both pretty cool. Everybody has a different sensibility. Hope this helps.
yeah the rubber strings make me crazy, i always get a set of the kala roundwounds, i have had several brands of ubass and they always fit fine. although i have heard tales of them not fitting some nuts, so ymmv. email cordoba and ask if you can get a pdf of the manual if it exists (i have a feeling you’ve probably already tried this).
Yes I sent an email about a week ago haven’t heard anything yet.
