Developing light right-hand technique

Hello everyone!

Does anyone have any tips or exercises for developing light righthand technique? I tend to dig into the strings quite hard and that’s producing dexterity issues and bad tone.

Many thanks!

Well, messing up left and right leads to deleted posts

What to do if you pluck too hard?

I would isolate the problem and just focus on plucking to start with. Forget about your fretting and focus on how hard you pluck, then slowly start to add some left hand action.

Plucking hard is not a bad thing, but it is good to be aware about how hard you hit those strings. It might indeed be useful to go with a lighter touch… Before going at it all the way

Slow is the GO word.

One finger at a time. Plug the notes with just one finger (Index) once you got the pressure dial, then move on to the next finger then alternate.
