Do I still need a dedicate DAI?

Hi everyone,

Recently found a bass tab for a song I love, and it is actually something I can play, still in M15-L5 btw. To record myself playing, I ordered a DAI yesterday when it on sale, the Steinberg IXO22. Then, lightbulb moment - I remembered my old Yamaha THR10II amp can actually record via USB too! Tried it out, and it sounds way better than my phone mic. Here’s a sample (not know much about tone, but I like it!).
Now, with the THR10II can be used as an interface, is the IXO22 redundant? If I can only keep one, which one should I keep.

FYI, THR10II, not a bass amp but I only use it for quiet practice with or without headphone. I listed the THR10II and electric guitar for sell long ago since I discovered the beauty of the bass. Guitar is sold, but no one seem to interesting in buying the THR10II, and it’s now just sitting in the corner.

That sounded fine to me. I would personally prefer a dedicated audio interface myself, but up to you

I do prefer a dedicated DAI for it’s being cheaper, smaller, consume less power, portable and flexible.
Maybe I’ll wait for the IXO22 to arrive and make the decision later, thanks.
