In case anyone’s interested, there’s a documentary being aired on UK’s BBC Two at 2045 hours (1945 GMT) on 11th April, which chronicles the loss, and subsequent discovery, of Paul McCartney’s missing 1961 original Höfner bass. It reportedly went missing in 1969 and was found some 50 years later.
The programme will also be available on BBC iPlayer.

It’s most likely a Maybe at best, I know I don’t have the Beatle bass. That said, I’ve been known to buy things in my sleep,

Given where they’re from, I’d say it’s more likely Paul swapped it for a bag of skunk and some photo’s of Ringo’s burd in the shower.
