Does this tone pot wiring look right?

Hi all. Here is the tone pot in one of my basses.
I just looked at the wiring and I am not sure if it is right.
The cap is connected tho the centre lug and grounded to the jack on top.
The black wire comes from the pickup pot and the live wire to Jack is on the same lug. To me this would bypass the pot.
Should it be soldered to the 3rd lug which has the cap resting on it?

For my DiMarzio setup it was connected to the 3rd pin:

That wiring is also correct, it’s equivalent. The tone pot is used as a simple variable resistor and only two lugs are used. They are interchangeable. There’s also other ways to wire this. So rest easy @Gloucestre
