Roto Tom kit! How 80’s. Every couple years or so I think about getting a set of roto toms. I haven’t yet but maybe someday.

I had a standard kit with three toms, but then added these three roto toms - just loved them so much!

Also wanted octobans, but never got those…

Oh. Yeah I see the other toms now.

That’s what I was thinking. Only the whales at the bottom of the sea are going to hear that gig.

I can’t imagine an E string with a gauge near 105 could be tuned to G.

C is the lowest I can tune to while still being able to play the string without it sounding like shit.

I just looked up some covers on YouTube and tabs from a few websites and everyone seems to be playing this song in standard tuning.

My mistake … Tuned to D, not G …

Drop D should never be an issue!

Haha, caused some good entertainment though :joy:

Yeah, I’ve found that when checking between the two sites. There are some wild differences between versions of the same song. I just use the parts that feel and sound better to me

No need to retune the bass for Enola Gay, I covered that one a few months ago.

It can be played in standard tuning, or drop D. The progression is F / Dm / B ♭ / C.

Edit: Looking at the video, I think I played drop D.

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the typo in the initial post … drop D, not drop G …

At least I learnt some bass grammar (which is always helpful !) and have a few alternative scores to practice for this one, indeed UG tab is not the correct one, though was a good practice !

Thanks again and happy bass day,
Laurent
