I had not heard of them. They sound interesting. Thanks for the heads up, @joergkutter and @Gloucestre.

And when you say “guitars”, do you mean those puny 6-string variants, or do you talk about “real” guitars??

What do you like about them? Any strings they could be compared to?

Thx!

Just the 6 string ones for midgets, because I needed strings and these seemed like something worth trying.
Don’t know what I like, I replaced DR Hi-Beams with a lighter gauge in these ones.
They sound good and feel good. And they weren’t expensive.
Haven’t tried them on a proper guitar (ie bass) yet but they seem to be rounds so I might not for a while as I put flats or tapes on everything atm (apart from one with DR Neons, I seem to like DRs)

Never heard of them. I just ordered a light set, it’s coming tomorrow, let see how it works.

I had them on my Squier P. Nothing outstanding but nice and bright and I think they stayed fresh for a while. I couldn’t feel any coating on them

I’m looking for a good match for my Warwick Katana. I think it has the Warwick strings on it and it’s pretty bad. I have the TI Jazz round and 35-95 D’Addario XL, both are my top candidates right now. I also have the Optima Unique studio 24k gold string. that was originally bought for this one.

Hi, I don’t know what to think…I bought Dragon Skin+ 45-105 as a replacement for almost a year old and worn Elixirs. I was shocked when the strings didn’t play at all, barely half the volume and no treble. I play through distortion, I took them at their mercy. The E string was really powerful and brought down the house, too bad it was only a week !?! Then it became something muddy, I constantly felt like it was out of tune. Too bad, the strings fit to the touch, they are a little rough on the surface and I liked that. I will never buy them again, at the price of 45 USD (in the Czech Republic) it was an expensive experiment…

I love my steel dragonskin MS set on my BTB. When it comes time I’ll replace the dingwall strings with these as well. They sound absolutely gorgeous.

That’s odd, something similar happened to me once, it’s when my daughter dropped my bass on to a table slamming the strings. Then that happened.
