Drop Ab Tuning on 5 String Bass

I want to set my 35” 5 string bass for Drop Ab Tunning:
1st String - Ab
2nd String - Eb
3rd String - Ab
4th String - Db
5th String - Gb

Any string set is recommended? I find out the Ab string may need to use 140 / 150, but it seems hard to find out where to buy. Thanks for the recommendation.

Here’s the only ones I could find

Maybe there’s some other brands, but not at Thomann.

Dropping half a step, I wouldn’t really worry about changing the gauge of the strings. They’ll be a little loose but not really an issue to play.

I use standard gauge strings in this tuning with a 130 on the lowest string and it’s fine.

I agree except he’s dropping the B string three half-steps

The rest should be fine.

Flats aren’t available above .126.

You are definitely a good candidate for this Sub Octave bass
