Since I started to play bass, I pay much more attention to drums, of course. So I wanted to try it. I also coquet with piano thanks to SimplyPiano learning program. I was looking for something for drums and I found Melodics software, purchased a cheap set in Lidl (do not, they have wrong midi mapping). Give it a try to play drums. I love drums. Bassists usually pickup drums or guitars. Got me a Edrum too, lol
This book is pretty helpful. It’s just 1001 drum beats notated. It’s like reading tabs for drums. It starts super easy then gets to complex grooves. It’s great for a beginner because you can just drill new beats every day.
