I need a list of about 20 easy country songs that also very popular. Also, it must be easy not just for bass, but also for guitar, drums and vocals. We already do Chicken Fried, Chattahoochee, Tennessee Whiskey, Wagon Wheel and so on. Need a lot more like these that are both simple and also very well known. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

While not exactly a “country” band per se, but what about The Eagles- “Train Leaves Here This Morning.”
The first video has good guitar imagery of the notes & chords. I did not find an isolated bass track, but in listening to it, it should not be too difficult to figure out, the second video is the remastered release:

Not sure but Johnny Cash comes to mind. Good melodies and lyrics. I’m not really a country and western guy but I never met someone who didn’t like Johnny Cash.

This Time by Waylon Jennings is a great song and easy to learn. There are a bunch of Waylon songs that would work (Luckenbach, Texas, Good Hearted Woman, Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way). God’s Problem Child by Willie Nelson…cool tune, bass is easy…the other parts don’t seem too difficult. Based on the songs you already have on your set list, I am assuming male singer? Mama Tried by Merle Haggard might work. Agree with @thornzero that Johnny Cash fits the bill…Folsom Prison Blues, Walk the Line, Ring of Fire. Marshall Tucker Band’s Can’t You See is VERY easy to play.

I don’t know a ton about country but when I was learning to keep 3/4 time on rhythm guitar, Tim McGraw’s ‘Humble and Kind’ came up. I gather he’s more modern, immensely popular and despite that time sig it’s still quite a simple song.

Check out JCountryBass on YouTube. His channel has a wide variety of country bass tabs. I like 9 to 5 by Dolly and Drinking Problem by Midland on that channel. Loads of others.

Rock and roll person here but I’ve been working on some country songs because they have a lot of walking bass lines. Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox is a fun to play song. Don’t Rock the Jukebox is another fun one. Also Picture by Kid Rock and Cheryl Crowe is pretty easy. I’m gonna toss in Stray Cat Strut and I Come from the Water by Toadies. Those two songs are my warm up songs.

To add some spice to the set list, throw in some songs by the Mavericks. Some great songs…the challenge with them is that the singer was amazing. But songs like What a Crying Shame, Dance the Night Away, Here Comes the Rain, Born to be Blue, are all accessible. One last thought on this topic is that you could round out the set list with some “country adjacent” tunes. CCR could be perfect for this as Born on the Bayou, Proud Mary and Have You Ever Seen the Rain are fun songs to play and not too difficult. Marshall Tucker Band also fits in this adjacent category.

Thanks buddy, those are good! My issue is that we are a cover band and people down here really want mega-hit radio country. Mainstream stuff that they know, and I see it as our job to make them happy on a Friday night. So here are some ones that were very easy to learn and also everyone we play to knows:
