It’s (almost) that time of year - who’s got good Christmas albums that don’t sound like a department store from hell?
This has got to be my favorite of all time -

UPDATE: I made a Spotify playlist with all my favorites plus some ideas from this thread:

I’ll have to check that album out. I’m thinking about doing a holiday cover for a friend. I have an Aaron Neville (who she loves) holiday release in my digital library, Going to check and see if there’s anything easy I could work out

Christmas music is very depressing to me. I avoid it no matter how good they say it is.
That’s just me, I don’t mean to be a grinch.

Wonderful Christmastime by Paul McCartney has some nice bass and it’s overall just a great Christmas song.

Love that Bela Fleck album also. Happy Xmas (War Is Over) by John Lennon is pretty simple but still fun to play along to.
There’s also the whole Motown Christmas album which I say qualifies as “good bass”

My absolute favorite, and actually has a decent bassline.

Kirsty was such a loss. Pretty much the Pogues at their height too when it came out.
Also: I am super salty because I have already lost the Little Drummer Boy Challenge. Before Thanksgiving, in Japan, during a pandemic. Unbelievable.

The one and only Slade of course
Ann excellent live band. Only just quieter than Motörhead and a lot faster live.
Their bass player also played electric violin on some tracks

I wrote this song in 2011. I hope you like it:
It’s called “Reggae Christmas Time” from my anime band called Rofl_fm and it’s on Spotify or youtube.

Wow never heard that song actually… Here in Italy (and probably whole EU) the challenge would be “Last Christmas Challenge”
This one is for @juli0r

Oof.
I always liked misheard lyrics but never heard of that one.
The most famous is probably “Agathe Bauer” (I got the power)
