Finding An Upbeat Not Downbeat Pedal

Hi!

I’m playing in a 2 man reggae setup…the other guy is playing lead…lots of reggae songs have a nice chuck sound (or keyboard) on the and beat instead of the down beat.

There are a good load of great downbeat pedals…but what im actually looking for is an upbeat pedal! does anyone know of one???

I have no idea - but searching for a review of downbeat pedals brought up the idea of using two pedals with one foot, so you’d have up- and downbeat. And you could use the pedal with your heel. But really, the idea is that you tap the downbeat with one part of your foot, and the pedal with the other.

Have a look here, at around 22 seconds they do a bit of upbeat accents.
