First ever gig last night at a backyard party. Waay to much fun!
I started three years ago, having never played an instrument as an adult. Took the Beginner to Badass course and after I’d finished that, I was encouraged by forum members to give the ‘post your covers’ thing a try. I’m convinced that learning songs, recording yourself and posting to YouTube is a solid route to improvement.
Without that support of positive criticism and an outlet to work on my technique I think i may have given up.
@Gio the cops showed up but only because they live on the same street!
But the biggest thanks goes to @JoshFossgreen who (and I say this unreservedly) has changed my life for the better. My life was was already good, but bass has made it even better
Congrats @Barney ! as you already know, playing/recording covers is a whole new thing compared to playing exercises, and playing live is yet another whole different thing.
