So there it ended - first month of bass playing. Strictly said - a month and a couple of days ago I’ve brought home my bass from the post office.
Now I’ve just finished Module 9 - so passed the midway. And I can see, hear and feel my progress since the very beginning a bit more than a month ago.
Of course I also learn Brown’Stone lessons - they are awesome, BTW, helped me to form a proper mindset to learn to play bass, to lock my mind with the sound of my bass. And also completed Jaz Moss’ Bass Foundation Course - also great thing that helped me in many ways, especially related to left hand technique.
As I’ve wrote - I can see, hear and feel the progress (the tone is clean, flying fingers are almost gone, left hand movements are smooth and light, overpressing and overplucking - gone and many more…). And I’m heaving fun playing the bass. Even just practicing some scales or triades.
A bit stumbled with Gorillaz thing at the end of Module 9 - even slow workout is a bit too fast to me to grasp all the syncopations there. But later I will return and nail it
For now on I will proceed to Module 10 and beyond. And also of course continue with Brown’Stone lessons (Rich is the man!). And also will do some other Jaz Moss lessons, especially related to learning some new shapes and stuff.
And maybe that’s time to start learning songs…
And here’s Bas(s)ia (She’s Basia (short for Barbara) but seems that now I can legitly call her Bassia) is watching and listening me playing:
