I actually prefer her playing style to Juna’s. Less flashy but more solid I think.

I do too, I like what she did here a lot.

Good to see Juna wearing more clothes too

Here’s a nice jazz song about judging girl’s appearance

I think her appearance is great and I also think it’s great if she is empowered to no longer feel like she needs anything but her bass talent to stand out

A great live performance by Dave and the boys.

There is just something about donning a nicely tailored suit, one of them slim neckties and then play cool jazz in a club…

Amen, brother.

In a suit with a narrow tie I’d look like a Blues Brother - Wombat Blues.

Which to me is cool

Was gonna say - that look works for the blues

You would need the hat and the Wayfarers.

Robert Johnson and later blues musicians adopted wearing suits when they performed, to project the blues as legitimate music and themselves as professional musicians.

Certain performers of Cool Jazz in the ‘50s did the same. The Dave Brubeck Quartet and others were examples of this.

The Blues Brothers, of course, were caricatures.

See how closely Brubeck is watching the sax player to tie in with him.

do i dig jazz? i dunno. i have always struggled with how to define it, there is so many different styles under the “jazz” umbrella. i hate with a passion the helter skelter random notes jazz. but benny goodman is jazz. and so is dixieland. how does miles davis get lumped in with this? i guess at the end of the day, i like what i like even if i don’t know how to define it. so anyways, here’s a sungazer video (bonus, with a million people playing):
