Found a band!

Big shout out to BASSBUZZ! I have been playing about 7 months - I worked through the beginner course once and now I’m halfway through a second time to clean up my rhythm and timing. I put the word out at my local UU church that I would like to jam and I found a band. I practiced with them last night for the first time and they thought I was amazing!!! I’m still reeling. If not for this course and all the genres it teaches I would not have been prepared. I am so happy and grateful!!! I feel like this course made me a well rounded bass player - THANK YOU!

Well, I wouldn’t say band… fully, just yet but I just hooked up with a drummer who’s been playing for just as long as I’ve been playing bass (2 years this past week). We just worked out 3 songs each to play and we’ll get together next week. Neither of us have much experience playing with anyone, so it makes it easier that we’re both trying to figure this whole thing out thing.

The first drummer that I played with was awesome but he’d been playing for 40 years and the difference in skill levels was going to be an issue.

I went with Vapour Trail by Ride, Keep Slipping Away by A Place to Bury Strangers, and one by Slowdive.

That’s what it’s all about!

There’s no feeling quite like playing it loud in your band.

Congrats!
