Absolutely heartbreaking. I just bought a brand new 6 string, and it was sad thinking that I was buying what might be the last batch of brand new G&Ls ever.
That’s gonna turn out to be a good investment
I don’t know about how the investment side might work out, but I’ve been looking at my collection of 20+ basses and considering moving some of the lesser played ones along to make room on my 3 5-guitar K&M racks for the new Henrix Constance 5 that’s coming soon. I seldom play my Fullerton Deluxe Fallout shorty and was thinking I might add it to the SAG list, but now I think I should keep it.
We’ll see them back in some form, Fender bought the intellectual property rights so I expect an MFD pickup in a limited edition Fender or something.
I’m hoping they bring the Tribute series back to fit in somewhere between the Squires and the player series, with the MFDs. It’d be a damn shame if those pickups got relegated to some kind of boutique (and expensive) limited edition or custom shop item.
It’s a shame all around. Yeah, would be nice if they brought back some designs, especially the unique ones, but a Jaguar or Rascal bass with MFDs would also be cool
Has this been confirmed? I’ve seen it rumored a lot, but no actual confirmation of it.
…
Not that I’m doubting you, @Wombat-metal. ![]()
I’ve seen it reported in Guitar World and Gear News; no details other than that
Comanche by chance?
Nope, I finally got my jazzmaster (Doheny).
Nice! White?
Nah, I liked the white w/ black pickguard a lot. I was between it and the emerald blue but I went with the blue.
I saw the Olympic White ones whilst searching for the LB-100.
Interesting take from an insider.
