@K_Miller I forgot to ask you which G&L basses that you have (or had) in your collection?
P, J and SB-2
I stumbled across this Scottās Bass Lessons feature on YouTube tonight. I thought that I would share it here since we are discussing G&L and some might find it of interest:
Sounds like the remaining stock might soon be available at select dealers:
Interesting, because Servco Pacific supposedly only purchased the intellectual property of G&L from the McLarens company, BBE Sound. Must be a difference between parts, and assembled units.
The short video hosted on the link below is testimony to the hurried emptying of the former factory.
Canāt watch yet but let me guess: fire everyone, little or no thought put in to assets or remaining inventory, and situation is a complete shitshow?
Yep, arguably the best āStratā ever. I love Strats, canāt play but I love them.
Mine has been in the background when I post my IEMs on another forum.
I wish I grab the Espada with the MFD pickup before they went out, Now the price is not approachable.
The video in the link I posted above was one of the first videos out when they were gutting the factory, almost before anyone knew about the takeover, etc. The guy is talking about doing some heavy duty dumpster diving, like, with a pressurized helmet!

My guess on the guitars is that they were seized as an asset by a creditor, and they finally let the dust settle, and then figured out how to liquidate them. I have a feeling more people are going to be losing more money again.
I donāt know if itās a blessing or not that Iām not lusting after the L series. I had the Fallout and the L2000 in the shed for a spell but maybe the timing was not right, the Fallout came when I was really in to the Mustang and the SS, and the Fallout overall length was too long, and the (CLF) L2000 came when I just got the Neckthrough StingRay the nut width is 1.686" vs the L2000 P bass nut width of 1.625". Anyways, ![]()
Ya, it can be tricky, but Iām just blaming the wife because she spotted this one on FB Marketplace. Provided itās not a color I already have, sheās pretty cool about it, and then she gets to pick the strap. ![]()
(DIdnāt know I had a personal pic of my 60ās Vibe for the other thread) ![]()
I think weāre going to be seeing a bit more of this for a while;
It hasnāt sold in three months, so what should you do? Boost the price by seventy-five dollars, and change the picture from the front porch to the back porch! ![]()
Something about all the switches and knobs has made me always want an L-2000. Today was the second time I saw one being played live. It was a country gig. Last time was a rock gig. They sound so good
