Very nice! Cool color on that 434.
It’s very pretty. The fretboard looks quite thirsty so I think it’s going to darken up a bit.
I was thinking about looking for a white one to replace the cream pick guard, but it matches the inlay dots so now I’m less sure. Black could work I guess, but that seems like it makes the whole bass pretty dark. I’m going to leave it for at least a little while and see if it grows on me.

Truss rod adjusted, action lowered, intonation set. A small mishap of a broken g-string that I think got caught in the spring for the saddle, but I have a set of strings sitting waiting so I was able to replace it and carry on with only a bit of sheepishness as a result.
I thought I’d be a medium-ish action player for at least a little while, but it’s become apparent to me that I am very much on the low action end of things after measuring. Good thing I like genres where a little fret buzz/clang from bouncing the string off the frets is fine-helpful.
