Recently sold a Fender tube amp and sensibly reinvested the money in a Kala Journeyman U Bass. Ordered some flat wounds and on @John_E’s advice a set of thumb rests.
Looking forward to playing some Reggae for my dog on the couch (I read some study that dogs favourite genre of music is Reggae. Who knew?)

I don’t have dogs, but I do have three kids. My two younger ones are rock-steady Iron Maiden fans. My youngest loves to dance to Losferwords. My middle one adores Fear of the Dark.

Well it sounds pretty good plugged in. Acoustically it’ll be garbage, that’s why the double bass still exists.
@John_E it’s been on my radar for months but, I wanted to sell my spare Amp before buying it and selling stuff locally always takes longer.
