Yep, and it turns out a lot of people happily pay top end prices for midrange instruments, as long as a particular name is on the headstock.
(It’s not just Fender; Gibson is worse, if anything.)

Actually I had my eye on the Lemmy Rick (4004?) for ages but they cost a fortune and there’s probably more chance of me urinating in the Queen’s handbag than being able to buy one. The only chance is a Chinese copy
I’ve heard some negative press about Chickenbackers though - they’re cheap and can look good but there are problems with delivery, electronics, finishing… Not sure I would risk buying one.

Well, if the neck and body are sound, the rest is a matter of DIY. The problem is that this drives the cost up. From what I heard from my family in Poland, the Usual Scumbags™ - aka Alibaba and Aliexpress - actually deliver there quite well (they ship through a local logistics center). Certainly better than in the People’s Glorious Republic of Canadastan.

It’s not even 100 bucks (even here in CZ) and right out of the box it just rocks.
The only issue is that I will actually need to buy me some advanced looper, because after fiddling around with this simple one, it’s just fun without the need to connect a pc.

I have a question about the Zoom. Isn’t the effect chain the other way around? It goes from output to input on the screen, is it possible to flip it somehow? O.o
