Fucking ouch. Now I feel a little bitter myself LMAO
A YouTuber and Darkglass artist did a demo and specifically mentioned it would be better with a footswitch controller, so I am going no, it does not come with a footswitch.
I still want it, though…
Maybe there will be a limited edition one when I’m ready for something like this.
I like that it’s controlled by your phone (assuming Bluetooth). Their pedals that need usb to connect and change are a PITA as you can’t really leave the USB connected as you get noise interference a lot (at least I do).
Fair, and I do like the idea of tailoring EQs for certain locations if needed (as if I have any real world experience there lol). It’s a funny thought though…
Crowd watching the band setup, thinking the bass player is dinking around on Instagram
Why on earth would they include intonation adjustments? Hahahahaha
Yeah, I mean, trem. It’s not even going to stay in tune, much less intonation
Hey, Kahlers are not Floyd Rose’s, they’re cam-actuated and require only a top route to install XD You can move the trem arm with your pinky finger. They even make a multiscale trem bridge for guitars.
Another compressor with minimal controls, but… it has a DI which caught my attention.

Two is one and one is none, etc, etc. Not a gigging musician for a long time if ever, but still. Backups are great and this was an unexpected surprise.
And it has distortion and EQ?
Man, I like JHS a lot, seriously seems like a great guy, but… hmm. If the DI is pre-effect that might be an interesting way to get a dry signal early in the chain but that mishmash of controls is a little too wonky IMO.
He even reviews and recommends competitor products. He seems like a really cool guy.
He did a similar one with Caline as well (and probably others XD)
That’s a great video @howard
So the speaker in the iMac wasnt quite cutting it so I purchased a pair of KRK Rokit 5 G4’s. Plugged them into my Scarlett Solo and… Oh. My. God.
I sat my guitar player 15 year old son at my desk, told him to pick a song and have a listen… he loaded up Soothsayer by Buckethead.
After a few bars, his jaw dropped, he turned to me and said “Dad, I need these!”
His ears are much more tuned than mine, he is learning digital music at school and wants to start doing some stuff at home so hopefully these will help when he starts recording his own tracks.
They sounded pretty good at the music shop, and I liked them the best from the ones the sales guy demo’d for me, but after setting them up at home I was really blown away. I have never heard such clarity and detail in music before.
Anyway, I’m sure most of you know how good studio monitors are but for me this was the first time hearing them. Very happy with the purchase.
KRK monitors are really good. Maybe a bit bass heavy, but certainly the most fun ones I ever owned. I had a small and large version but had to sell them because my son needed a study room
Enjoy!
Ha, my son wants me to buy him a pair for his study room
Although, must of the ‘study’ he seems to do in there involves an 8 string Jackson
I use my monitors for everything. So good. Nice choice
